The path that takes you up introduces you to the first castle of Weckmund. In the remains you can clearly recognize part of the fence, as well as the square keep with its impressive walls of 2 meters thick.
The orientation of the keep, the ramparts and the openings in the walls show that this castle was oriented against the two castles, clearly emphasizing their conflicts.
You can enter the fortress tower through an opening. A flashlight is recommended.

The oldest castle 'Wahlenbourg' of Les Trois Châteaux consists of a square keep. This was built in the 12th century and a house from the 13th and 14th centuries. Unfortunately, the oldest castle does not reveal its secrets. Access to the fortress tower is closed for safety reasons. Enjoy the steps you take in the past. Don't forget to look up at the past.
The castle of Dagsbourg, of which 2 parts of its mighty square keep remain, was formerly the country residence of the Bishop of Strasbourg.
Near the remains of the palace you can still notice elements of a chimney with columns. What wild adventures took place here in the past.
