The drinking and promenade hall was built in 1926 in the form of a Greek temple with Ionic columns. The adjacent corridors with rows of shops replicate ancient Doric-style halls. The building represents the origins of spa treatments in ancient Greece and the young democracy of the Weimar Republic, with a nod to the architecture of Athens in the 5th century BC.
