    The 151 m long road bridge is the centerpiece of the Stuttgart-Vaihingen eastern bypass. It features two lanes for vehicular traffic and a pedestrian and cycle path above the roadway with integrated noise protection. The structure consists of a concrete roadway slab with an underlying truss and tree-like supports made of tubular steel sections. The nodes and base points of the steel structure are made of cast steel. The slackly reinforced concrete slab is monolithically connected to the adjacent tunnels, thus eliminating damage-prone bearings and noise-generating roadway crossings. Tubular steel arches, with sections of slatted stainless steel noise protection elements, support the pedestrian and cycle path.

        Bridge over the Nesenbach valley; including the Kaltentaler exit and tracks of the Stuttgart Stadtbahn.

        The road originally planned as federal motorway 834 runs on its northeastern part through two tunnels (Hengstäcker and Österfeld tunnels) and crosses the Nesenbach at a height of 22 m on a bridge. Above the roadway of the 151 m long, seamless steel truss bridge, a walkway and cycle path runs on tubular steel arches, which also carry soundproofing elements.
