The amphitheater was built in the 1st century AD as a wooden structure. The construction in stone took place at the beginning of the 2nd century AD, its current form was the amphitheater in the second half of the same century. On the west and east side, the entrances were in the theater. Since the legion camp was right next to the amphitheater, the west entrance formed the main entrance. Both entrances were closable with large gates.
