The Doost (also: Dost) is a relatively small but very impressive nature reserve near Weiden i. d. Upper Palatinate. His countless roundish granite blocks were probably not transported by a glacial stream here, but emerged on the spot by weathering and grinding. The wooded ravine through which the small stream Girnitz, sometimes invisible because of the piled up blocks, flows through, is in superstition the place of the devil and the underworld.
