The Gothic portal of the Sainte-Croix church in Liège includes, on the tympanum, a sculpted group of the Resurrection which is in reality a copy, made in 1935, of the heavily damaged original statues. The originals are exhibited at the Grand Curtius, department of religious art and Mosan art. These, attributed to the Master of the Mosan marble Madonnas, had already been dated by Marguerite Devigne to the middle of the 14th century. This chronology can be further nuanced. Indeed, two of the five stone figures are warriors dated 1340.

Only part of the sandstone wall remains of the original construction. The western choir houses the 17th century painting "The Finding of the Holy Cross" by Bertholet Flémal. The eastern apse dates from the 13th century, the naves from the 14th century and the side chapels were added in the 15th century.
