The Capitello breach is one of the most impressive passages of the GR 20. At an altitude of 2,073 meters, this passage provides exceptional panoramas of the Capitello and Melo lakes, as well as the Restonica valley.

Lake Bastani is one of the highest lakes in Corsica above (2000m). It is a beautiful feature to study from the top of Mount Renoso and to visit and enjoy while hiking to or from that same peak.

Beautiful descent to Lake Melo from the Bocca Soglia. Good marking and good to walk. Beautiful stream and a great view of the Melosee!

Scharte at 2050 m on the GR 20. To the north there is a path to Lac de Melo, which lies deep below. From there it is not far to Corte.

The ascent and descent from Refuge e'Campanelle takes about 5 hours and is definitely worth it. For me the summit was one of the highlights of the GR 20, although it is actually not on the route. In addition to a fantastic view, there is a small summit cross and, as a highlight, a small Corsican head carved in stone.
