The village is located in the Heldburg region, in a floodplain along State Road 1135, nestled among meadows, fields, and forests. The classic, traditional blacksmith's shop, once found in almost every village, has now almost completely disappeared. Here stands the former blacksmith's shop and wagon smithy at the lower gate of the suburb, serving the horses and riders of travelers. The gate's columns on both sides of the street are still standing. In the 18th and 19th centuries, tolls for roads and bridges were collected here (toll house). A glimpse inside is rarely possible.
