The figure depicting Storm's Regentrude was created by Christoph Haupt in 2007 on the occasion of the 200th birthday of the writer, who spent eight years as a district judge in Heiligenstadt between 1856 and 1864.

The interior is particularly characterized by the three eleven-meter-high choir windows, whose color scheme creates a brilliant light in the nave. The people of Heiligenstadt became aware of the artist Graham Jones through his designs for the Cochem church windows. His use of figurative forms and vibrant colors was very well received. Since 2011, the windows, depicting the Annunciation, Pentecost - the Mission of the Holy Spirit, and the Assumption, have adorned the Provost's Church.

Fun for young and old. The wooden marble is available at the ticket office of the adjacent Vitality Park.

The well-maintained grounds reveal their flair and charm, especially during the pre-Christmas season. But there's also plenty to see in the immediate vicinity: an old mill wheel, parts of the city wall, and the Eichsfeld Museum. It's a particularly beautiful sight in the evening, when the church and surrounding buildings are illuminated.
