Climbing up and visiting the chateau is definitely worth it, just because of the adventurous location. In addition, you will be rewarded with wonderful views of the surrounding area ***
Somehow a magical place with a great view (for the altitude). Unfortunately, you can't see the Pech de Bugarach at this point because of the forest. However, you can see this peak earlier on the eastern ascent route.
With a bit of scrambling over the rocks (be careful, one spot is greasy/slippery due to lots of hikers!) you can get to this point to see the waterfall.
Viewpoint in the heart of the Corbières-Fenouillèdes Regional Natural Park, on the GR 36 route. Below, you can see the very impressive Termes castle, which is in ruins and overlooks the Sou valley.
The Pic de Bugarach, with its 1230 m altitude, is the highest point of the Massif des Corbières. It is therefore the ideal summit to contemplate the massif.
