Nice walk through the village and to the cemetery

Ségur-le-Château has been awarded the label of the most beautiful villages in France. It is situated on a peninsula of Auvezère. Today the remains of the castle from the 12./13. Century like the keep of the fortified castle, but also the stone and half-timbered houses with turrets. Ségur-le-Château is a wonderful place to immerse yourself in the rich past between the 15th and 18th centuries.

Very nice visit with a warm welcome. A journey through the stationery will make you relive those years of hard work with videos and clues to look for along the way.

Absolutely idyllic place, perfect for resting after exercise, or taking a picnic break. The area in general is very beautiful, calm and without too many people. You will find the GR 646 a few hundred meters away.

Idyllic spot .. on the water also nice picnic spots. And very nice to see how people used to work here.

Lost place - you can see everything well

The Château de la Brégère, the centerpiece of a former agricultural estate, is a fortified house (15th century), located 7 km from Saint-Yrieix. Its appearance and its defensive elements: keep, watchtowers, gun loops, perfectly illustrate the history of a modest Limousin seigniorial dynasty. During the summer, the castle hosts exhibitions of artists.
