A small, peaceful hamlet nestled in the Corrèze countryside. Close to Lake Causse, it offers an ideal natural setting for lovers of hiking, cycling, or simply rural tranquility.

🥾 The GR® de Pays du Causse Corrézien is a 48 km hiking loop located south of Brive-la-Gaillarde, in the Corrèze department. It's a route that immerses hikers in the soul of the Causse: limestone landscapes, hilltop villages, dry stone walls, and spectacular viewpoints.

🧭 What makes the Blagour unique: Drinking water: The resurgence partially supplies the town of Brive-la-Gaillarde, demonstrating the exceptional purity of its underground circuit. Caving site: The Blagour chasm was explored and mapped by speleologists between 1984 and 1995. It includes an entrance siphon and exposed galleries, with precise CAD surveys. Enchanting landscape: The crystal-clear pool of water surrounded by vegetation and limestone cliffs offers a peaceful, almost meditative setting.

🏞️ What you see from this viewpoint: The village of Chasteaux: perched on its rocky peak, with the 15th-century Saint-Christophe church dominating the slate roofs. Its silhouette stands out clearly against the sky, like a living painting. Causse Lake: a vast mirror of water with ever-changing reflections, bordered by beaches and wooded hills. It stretches peacefully below, perfect for a contemplative break or a romantic picnic at the end of the day. The hamlet of Soulier: nestled in a green hollow, with its stone houses and its small, discreet waterfall. It's the ideal starting point for a climb to the summit. Roziers and the organic vineyards: on the steep hillsides, the rows of vines form geometric lines that undulate with the relief. A local wine is grown there, and you can even meet the winemaker.

Climbing the watchtower via the narrow staircase gives you a panoramic view of the castle garden, the surrounding area and the town of Turrene. An information sheet in German is available at the ticket booth.
