Trolls in Ilsetal? The moss-covered stones that lie here in very different sizes always remind me of stories/films about sleeping trolls. The place is right on the main path up to the Brocken and is therefore easily accessible. In the leafless season, the stones and moss on them are particularly effective.

From here you have a great panoramic view of the beautiful Ilsenburg. The 3 crosses belong to the nobles of Stolberg Wernigerode.
