The town hall is very nicely renovated with a great facade design. It was built in 1543-49 in place of the half-timbered building from the Middle Ages that had burned down. The east gable of the Frauenkirche made of brick with late Gothic decorations is great, while the west side has been new since 1860 and has less decoration.

Mentioned as a town for the first time in 1230, Mühlberg (Elbe) originally consisted of two independent town halves - the old town and the new town, each of which had a church, a town hall and a market square; In 1346, both parts, which had previously been separated by an arm of the Elbe or by fortifications (including the old town and new town ditch), were legally combined into one city; Between the Neustädter Markt and Schulplatz, the evangelical parish church "Our dear women" (Frauenkirche), built from the 13th century; the two-storey town hall of Mühlberg, built in 1543-49, with a steep gabled roof and the two elaborately designed stepped gables is characteristic; opposite the birthplace of the Black Forest painter Prof. Wilhelm Hasemann; between Neustädter Markt and Roßmarkt u. a. the "Golden Lion" - a former inn from the 18th century, which is now used as a registry office;

The town hall was built in 1543-49 instead of the previous medieval building made of timber framing that burned down in 1535 It is a two-story plastered building under a steep gable roof. A renovation took place in 1860 and the side wing was added in 1927. The elaborately designed, staggered east gable made of brick with rich late Gothic tracery ornamentation is lavishly crafted. After a collapse at the beginning of the 17th century, the west gable was rebuilt as a stepped gable and changed slightly in 1980.
