The Purschenstein Bird Wedding came about by chance. Professor Gerd Kaden from Neuhausen was offered a roughly 200-year-old spruce tree from the Rabenau Valley. He designed the figures of the Bird Wedding from this single trunk. The 150-meter-long barefoot path ends in the Kneipp pool. A sensual treat for sore feet and the circulation. Nearby is the Waldhotel Kreuztanne with its restaurant, which also serves in the beer garden in summer.
