On display is an extensive collection of historical machinery, ranging from a 12-meter-long cotton knitting machine and winding machines to modern knitting machines. Many of the machines are still functional and will be demonstrated. Furthermore, finishing machines such as linking, sewing, and forming machines are exhibited, along with a comprehensive collection of hosiery samples. In addition to numerous artifacts from the hosiery industry, a stocking weaver's workshop from around 1895 offers a glimpse into the life of a family of Erzgebirge stocking weavers. The Ströher Collection at the Manufaktur der Träume (Factory of Dreams) comprises exquisite objects of Saxon-Ore Mountain folk art, toy production, and Christmas traditions. Approximately 1,500 objects from all parts of the Ore Mountains reflect the craftsmanship of the Ore Mountain people. Primarily created between 1890 and 1930, they represent the hard work, unique skill, and ingenuity with which they were made.
