The Freital Ost–Possendorf railway line is a standard-gauge branch line near Dresden in Saxony, which is considered the first German mountain railway. It was built in 1856 by Albertsbahn AG as a Hänichener coal branch railway for the removal of hard coal mined in Hänichen and at Windberg near Freital.
