The Nordpark is the largest public park in Erfurt. The expansive meadows, the nearby Nordbad swimming pool, and the hiking trails along the Gera river leading to the city center and the northern part of the city are the park's highlights.

In the Middle Ages, Waagegasse was anything but a quiet side street. It was a central location for the staple right.
