Im Wald von Eawy wurde während des Zweiten Weltkrieges vom deutschen Militär eine V1-Abschussbasis errichtet. Auf dem frei zugänglichen und als Mahnmal gestalteten Gelände befinden sich u. a. mehrere teilrestaurierte Gebäude (Unterstände, Werkstätten, Einmannbunker) und eine Abschussrampe. Tafeln in französischer, englischer und deutscher Sprache erläutern den Ort, der in einem Rundgang erschlossen werden kann.

Close to the Côte d'Albâtre on the Cauchois plateau, the commune of Grandes Ventes is a friendly town where you will find local shops and something to eat. I do not know if it is listed as such, in any case it is a beautiful climb that can indeed be assimilated to a small pass, with at the end a panorama of the valley of Bethune. It is apparently a popular place for paragliders in the region. During my visit, I also came across one waiting for a favorable wind.
