Built at the end of the 16th century, the Villa Briançon was bought in 1686 by Anne Marie Louise of Orléans, the Grande Mademoiselle, to build an orphanage there. Renovated, then transformed into a hospice until 1955, restored at the end of the 20th century, it houses the town hall and temporary exhibitions.

Built on earlier foundations, most of the current historic church building is from 1605, with some vestiges in the western gables remaining of an earlier building destroyed in 1474 by the troups of Charles the Bold.
