Picturesque stone bridge

The Martigny wooden bridge is a wooden bridge that crosses Varenne and connects the villages of Saint-Aubin-le-Cauf and Martigny. It dates from the 17th century and was part of an ancient trade route linking Paris to Dieppe. You can admire the large sandstone slabs that support the bridge and the picturesque landscape of the valley.

Away from cars, but a bit monotonous...

I do not know if it is listed as such, in any case it is a beautiful climb that can indeed be assimilated to a small pass, with at the end a panorama of the valley of Bethune. It is apparently a popular place for paragliders in the region. During my visit, I also came across one waiting for a favorable wind.

Possibility of bivouac and a small bench to rest

This track, up to Forges-les-Eaux, pleasantly monotonous, has a perfect surface.

As on the outward journey, the green avenue is pleasant to take through its fields and the old stations and road signs that adorn this route for several tens of kilometres.

I recovered the green avenue from Forges-Les -Eaux to Dieppe and it is magnificent. The green avenue passes through the fields and passes over the old railway line. The old stations still present serve as homes or points of interest for a gourmet break.
