The Saint-Paul church, from the 14th century and formerly attached to the monastery of La Chaise-Dieu, is an extension of the castle. It is easily recognizable from the surrounding area thanks to its spire at the top of its bell tower. Restoration work was undertaken in the 19th century.

Bezan is a pleasant little lake, lined with walking paths which invite you to discover its history. Among other things, a pitch oven is open to the public and allows you to better understand how pitch was used to polish ropes and laces, but also to caulk barrels, boats and houses.

The abbey of La Chaise-Dieu is a former Benedictine abbey. It is a jewel of southern Gothic. Located in the village of La Chaise-Dieu, it was built during the 11th century. Always good for a break.

The village of La Chaise-Dieu is nestled on a granite promontory, more than 1000 meters above sea level. Saint-Robert Abbey and its Sacred Music Festival are worth the detour.

A must see with a beautiful view when arriving in the village.

In these beautiful old wash houses you are always well protected from the sun and rain when you take a break.

This old wash house is in the middle of the small village. I'm always fascinated by how laundry used to be washed without technology.
