Beautiful town, great end to a small tour from Porto to the bridge and then to Ota

The Vergio Pass culminates at 1,467 meters above sea level. It connects Haute-Corse and Corse-du-Sud, as well as the two sides of the island, from the interior. It is one of the meeting points between the GR 20 and the GT 20.

A cool street

Nestled 715 meters above sea level, Marignana is an authentic little mountain village. It is surrounded by dense vegetation representative of the Corsican flora. On a clear day, it is possible to observe the sea in the distance.

The Col de Vergio is the highest pass in Corsica. From its height of 1,467 meters, it is the meeting point between two famous trails: The GR20 and the GR Mare à Mare. At the pass, you will see a strange 25-ton statue made of pink granite stone. It represents Christ the King and is the work of Noël Bonardi.

Ota, which overlooks the Porto River, is a timeless village. A little further at the exit of the village, you will see from the road the Genoese bridge of Pianelli at the edge of the water. Do not hesitate to come and soak your feet in the crystal clear water of the stream. It's divine!
