A fantastic marble run, right in the middle of the forest. With many beautiful tracks and seating areas. Don't forget your €1 coins, because that's the only way to get a marble!

This marble run is a really great idea. We had a lot of fun. Highly recommended for adults too. You should have a euro with you, though, or you won't get a marble.

🏞️ Forest Marble Run at Laufhauser Weiher Five wooden tracks directly in the forest above the pond's shore – interactive marble-playing fun for all ages. Marbles (€1 each) are available from the on-site vending machine or at the youth hostel. Tip: Get your marbles beforehand – and combine this highlight with a detour to the Königsberg Throne for a little summit experience.

The Erdesbach Mill tells the story of regional tradition and technological change – from its use as an oil mill to residential use and today's power generation. Directly adjacent, the historic weir regulates the Glan River – an exciting spot for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. 👣 Tip: Pause for a moment, read the information board, and listen to the sound of the water – a moment to relax. Perfect for a peaceful nature photo or a short break with a historical flair.

A very special experience awaits here: The small Ulmet train station is the starting point of the trolley route – and the lovingly planted wagon wheel itself brings color and charm to this place. The railway line, flowers, and seating – perfect for a little breather. 👣 Tip: If you prefer a more relaxed atmosphere, take a seat here, watch the trolleys, or simply enjoy a moment in the sun. The blend of nostalgia and nature is unique.

📝 This parking lot is located a bit away from the official starting point – quieter, larger, and more conveniently located. It's just as good (if not better) as a starting point for the Seven Gorges Trail. It's especially ideal for those arriving by car who want a more relaxed start. 💡 Tip: If the central parking lot is full, head here instead – the trailhead is just a few steps away.

📍 Erdesbach This is both historic and atmospheric: The Erdesbach Mill tells the story of old crafts – and the accompanying weir makes the water rush. The weir used to regulate the water and harness power; today it's a tranquil place where nature and the past meet. A small waterfall, moss on the stones, birdsong – and, in the middle of it all, a view of the old mill. 💡 Tip: If you stop here, listen carefully – the steady rushing sound has an almost meditative quality. Ideal for a short break between experiencing nature and enjoying a culinary treat.
