In Selzen stands a replica of a Roman gravestone. The work by Nackenheim sculptor Rainer Knußmann is located in a square at the corner of Gaustraße and Kirschgartenstraße and was donated by three Selzen residents: Volker, his wife Annemarie, and his sister Helga Schätzel, who collected donations for it. The replica was unveiled on September 11, 2005.[1] The original gravestone is now in the State Museum of Mainz. It was discovered in 1935 during the regulation of the Selz River, west of the bridge at the Hahnheim-Selzen train station, along with other gravestones. Wagon marks on some of the stones suggest that they were reused to create a ford across the river. The stones are dated to the 1st and 2nd centuries AD. Three Graces at the wine press

The chapel in the Zornheim vineyards is a foundation of the Zornheim honorary citizen Peter Eugen Eckes (fruit juice manufacturer Eckes-Granini) and his wife Ruth. It is intended to be an ecumenical place of silence, contemplation, relaxation and reflection that is open to everyone. (Opening hours: daily 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.) On December 18, 2021, the chapel was blessed by the Catholic priest Hubert Hilsbos and the Protestant dean Andreas Klodt. After the solemn ecumenical act, Mr. Eckes symbolically handed over the chapel and the associated property of the Mönchbäumchen vineyard to the local mayor Dennis Diehl by means of a deed of gift. Based on an idea by interior design student Lisa Denecke from 2019, the chapel was designed in the shape of a tent made of five oversized wooden triangles. The Wiesbaden-based architectural firm KISSLER EFFGEN + Partner designed the building plan for the chapel and implemented it in a wood and glass construction with six craft workshops after an eight-month construction period. Adapted to the topography of the site, a stepped interior with a sandstone altar and an ambo was created. In good weather, the 20 wooden bench seats offer a good view of Zornheim and a phenomenal view through the expansive panoramic window. The lighting in the evenings is provided by a solar system installed specifically for this purpose.

Behind the vineyard house there is now also a nice rest area and a "hiwweltouren window" for a photo souvenir.

If it's open, it's worth a visit. Especially when the weather is nice, you can enjoy a glass of wine and other delicacies while also taking in the view over the Zornheim "wine hills".
