For more peace and quiet: obviously favor a visit early in the morning.

Today, the castle of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle is open to the public and houses a museum of warfare in the Middle Ages, with medieval armor, weapons and war machines. Visitors can also explore the rooms of the castle, climb the ramparts and enjoy panoramic views of the Dordogne valley. Cultural events such as falconry shows and historical reenactments also take place on site.
