A truly beautiful church, built between 1791 and 1810 according to designs by Jakob Joseph Schneider, the then building director of Mainz. The building features a circular choir inside and a three-sided exterior, leaning against a Gothic tower. Particularly noteworthy are the Baroque altars and wooden figures from the early 18th century. After a lightning strike in 1910, the destroyed tower was quickly rebuilt.

Beautiful route in spring during flowering season

There are so many nice and different spots along the river Rhine that it is hard to get bored. They also come along very different depending on the time of the year and the weather. By now I plan my trips deliverately considering these factors.

Just take a few minutes break, a very nice place

The small town of Heidenfahrt on the Rhine has a lot to offer: the "Rheinterrasse" café and restaurant, a small beach, an e-bike charging station, a campsite, and a playground. There are also plenty of parking spaces, making it a great starting point for a bike ride.
