The Elkenrother Weiher, fed by the Elbbach, offers a circular route that is very root-heavy. Edit 07/21: Two chicanes for cyclists have been installed on the circular route. At least you have to dismount to get through it.

The Elkenrother Weiher is an 8 hectare pond in the course of the Elbe stream near Elkenroth in Rhineland-Palatinate. The Weidenbruch nature reserve borders in the west of the pond. The origins of the pond go back to several fish ponds laid one behind the other on the upper reaches of the Elbbach from the Middle Ages. [3] Today it is mainly used for fishing.
