Across the green meadows, the view opens up to the striking Freieck mountain. With its rocky flanks and often still snow-covered peaks, the summit rises above the dark forests and blends with the neighboring mountains to create an impressive panorama. This view is particularly atmospheric in the morning or evening, when the light further emphasizes the contrast between the lush green of the valley and the bright rock faces.

The cycle path along the Salzach Valley Road crosses the Taugl River shortly before its confluence with the Salzach. At this point, the Taugl Riverbed lies, which can largely dry out, especially during dry periods. From the bridge, there is an unobstructed view of the dry riverbed and the surrounding landscape of the Salzach Valley. Cyclists traveling here thus ride directly over the Taugl River and can simultaneously observe the geological structure and beauty of the valley area.

The Anton Neumayr Bridge in Hallein spans the Salzach River and connects the districts of Burgfried, Gamp, and the old town. During a comprehensive renovation between 2021 and 2022, the bridge was modernized and significantly improved, especially for bicycle traffic. It received a dedicated, clearly marked cycle path and a widened sidewalk, significantly increasing safety and comfort for cyclists and pedestrians. Today, the bridge not only offers a functional and safe crossing over the Salzach River, but also a particularly beautiful view of the old town, the Pernerinsel Island, and the striking panorama of the Barmsteine.
