The Kirnau, an idyllic stream, meanders through the picturesque Kirnau valley, which is designated as a nature and landscape conservation area.

It was originally donated in 1728 by the Amtskeller Johann Albert Geiger and shows the bridge saint with a cross in his arms.

The Catholic parish church of St. Kilian is a striking example of contemporary church architecture. Built between 1970 and 1974, it combines modern design with historical elements. Particularly striking are the concrete sculptures by Emil Wachter, which can be found on both the exterior and interior walls of the church. The freestanding historic church tower in the west complements the modern church building, connecting past and present.

In front of the Roman Museum stands this impressive statue of a Roman legionary, depicting Publius Junius Secundus. The soldier was stationed in Osterburken in the 3rd century AD as a beneficiary of the governor. Beneficiaries were soldiers assigned to special duties such as customs and police duties.
