The great pride of Laissac is its cattle market, ranked first among the markets in the south of France. Leavesac. The city also hosts an annual MTB Marathon World Cup race, "Le Roc Laissagais".

The hillock of Sévérac, at 817m, has been occupied since prehistoric times, and the remains of its fortified castle are magnificent, as is the view of the Aveyron valley which rises 2 km away. On the southern flank of the hill, also stands the magnificent medieval town of Sévérac-le-Château.

The Château de Sévérac, an 11th century building that has been remodeled many times, is perched on top of a hill. To get there, there is nothing better than going through the winding streets of the medieval city which has retained all its charm. Once you arrive on the heights of the city, you have a superb view of the surroundings.

Every Tuesday morning, the Laissac fairground hosts the largest cattle market in France. Buyers and sellers meet there to do business.

The Pic du Pal is classified as a natural area of ecological fauna and flora interest. There is an orientation table with an unobstructed view of the Aveyron valley, the Aubrac and Cantal mountains. Superb path to get there, a bit technical in places.

1st Cattle Market in France, the Foirail de Laissac has been open every Tuesday morning since the 15th century! Guided tours take place between mid-June and the end of September.
