A church worth seeing

⛪✨🕯️ In the church's cellar, a long-lost memorial plaque from the First World War was rediscovered only a few years ago and is now once again part of the parish.

⛪ The parish church of St. Medardus in Nörvenich is not only a spiritual center, but also an architectural gem with a fascinating history. It was built between 1658 and 1664 on the foundations of several earlier buildings, after the last structure was severely damaged in the Thirty Years' War.

A beautiful old castle ruin, which unfortunately is falling into disrepair.

The building and grounds of the former Eggersheim watermill are privately owned and therefore cannot be visited. From here you have a good view of the renovated mill building. There is also an old gear wheel to the left of the path. If you go back to Eggersheim to the playground, then there is an information board about the old mill.

The Eggersheimer Mühle is privately owned. Here, opposite the playground, a plaque commemorates the old mill, whose buildings have now been renovated and are a few hundred meters south of here.
