You don't need anything

This cozy inn is located in the small village of Schanze, right next to the Kyrill Trail. You can stay overnight here during your hike, or simply take a break to recharge. The beer garden opposite the inn is a particularly good place to do this. You won't find much traffic here: the road practically ends here. We're closed on Mondays, but our guests are of course offered something to eat. Schanze, Schanze, Schanze – a must-see whenever you're in Schmallenberg. Located on the Rothaarsteig trail, on the ridge that forms a broad, hilly plateau here. A place reached by a road that ends there (the mountainous counterpart to Latrop). A small town, touristy yes, but pleasantly so, a hiker's and cyclist's haven. Excellent food, naturally hiker- and cyclist-friendly. The panoramic views of the Schmallenberg Sauerland region are absolutely stunning, and some accommodations offer views of the valley, whether that of Latrop or those to the south.
