A compact but varied reserve just west of Nykvarn, Jägarskogen offers quiet forest walking on a short loop of about 3.5 km. The terrain shifts between old pine and spruce stands, rocky knolls and small wetland pockets, giving the area a surprisingly wild feel for its size.

A small but beautiful nature trail, perfect for hiking with children or family. There is also a jetty in the village that makes it easier to get into the water for a swim.

It's amazing what casting technology was possible back then.

The "Theatre King" Gustav III, who had the theatre built in the castle, even wrote his own plays and sometimes even took on a role himself

Very impressive. The visit was worthwhile. The existence of the palace theater was particularly surprising.

The castle is ideal for a short break; the large parking lot is free and you can even get a snack.

It is impressive how well the foundry art for these cannons was in the 17th century.

I've never seen a spring like this before, but the water tasted really good!
