Görvälns nature reserve is a scenic nature reserve located right along the shores of Lake Mälare. It is a green landscape of forests and meadows that has a picturesque shoreline, which makes it popular with walkers, bikers, and families. The reserve also holds the Görväln Palace, adding cultural history to this beautiful natural environment.

This path takes you through dense woodland with occasional open spots, giving glimpses of Järvafältet’s serene forest landscape.

A quiet stretch of mixed forest with soft gravel ground and plenty of shade. The path is easy to follow and offers a nice glimpse of the typical woodland landscape in this part of Görväln.

Görvälns Slott is a peaceful lakeside manor with a beautiful courtyard and gardens — a perfect place for a break. The on-site restaurant and café serve quality food and pastries.

A peaceful section of the trail that leads you straight through quiet, mixed forest. Soft ground underfoot, tall trees all around and plenty of calm moments along the way.

A spacious barbecue spot with two grills and plenty of seating. Firewood is often stocked at the start of the weekend, so chances are good you’ll find some when you arrive.

Around Översjön there are several barbecue areas directly by the lake. Please be aware, that lighting fires is only allowed in these designated areas (but also depending on seasonal circumstances). This place is always perfect for a little break, though. :-)
