Eldgarnsö Nature Reserve offers a wonderfully peaceful loop around the island, with open meadows, ancient oaks, and constant views of Lake Mälaren — perfect for a slow, scenic walk in classic Swedish countryside. A beautiful way to drive into Uppsala. It's just strange that Komoot doesn't recommend the entire route 😉.

The bird watching house is easily accessible via a beautiful footbridge. Very nicely done with information boards, although only in Swedish. Don't forget your binoculars!

This used to be the old railway line between Uppsala and Enköping, closed in the 1980s. A significant portion of the track bed has since been converted into a gravel path suitable for biking.

It is a great spot to rest and drink (preferably Hardenberger Korn) whilst enjoying a beautiful view on the lake :)

Definitely waffles in the summer cafe. The interior of the skokirkan is warm and very nice
