The Stockholm City Library was designed by Gunna Asplund. The modernist building is also called Asplundhuset, because it is one of its most important buildings. The library opened in 1928 and was the first public library in Sweden where people could select and pick up their own books without the help of a librarian. Unfortunately, you cannot visit the inside of the library until 2027: renovation work is underway until then.

Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern is the full name of the Stockholm theater, but is usually referred to simply as Dramaten. The theater was officially opened in 1908 with Strindberg's play Mäster Olof. Many famous Swedish artists have contributed to the decorations of this Art Nouveau building. For example, many of the statues on the facade are by Carl Miles and Carl Larsson contributed to the ceiling paintings in the marble hall.

The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, founded in 1827, is the largest and oldest technical university in Sweden and is considered one of the leading technical universities in Europe.
