The four-masted barque Pommern was once one of the Flying P-Liners of the German shipping company F. Laeisz and later sailed for the Åland shipowner Gustaf Erikson. Today the Pommern is a museum ship in the port of Mariehamn and can be visited. One of the main attractions in Mariehamn.

The Esplanade of Mariehamn is an avenue of linden trees that connects the western and eastern harbors, a green oasis in the middle of Mariehamn. In addition to the main church, several wooden houses along the avenue are worth seeing.

The bicycle ferry M/S Silvana runs scheduled 1-2 times a day from the end of June to the end of August between Skarpnåtö (Hammarland) and Snäckö, Lolo's coastal café (Geta). The ferry carries around 50 passengers with or without bicycles at a time. The ferry ride takes 25 minutes. Prices 2024: Adult with bicycle EUR 19 Child 8-15 with bicycle EUR 10 Child 0-7 years with bicycle EUR 0 Trailer EUR 8

Built in 1927, the copper-roofed Saint Goran Church is one of the few modern churches on the island. The Art Nouveau style was designed by Lars Sonck, who grew up in Åland. Look out for the Art Nouveau flourishes on the ceiling and the brilliant stained glass windows by Bruno Tuukkanen. The highlight of the interior is the glittering mosaic altarpiece, also by Tuukkanen.
