Great bike highway in Helsinki

Brobölentie should be getting new asphalt from late September to early October update Oct 11th: no real work done yet, currently scheduled for the next two weeks

not too busy (but not quiet either), gently rolling hills, asphalt has plenty of cracks and potholes

Good (and popular) roadside bike path on the west side of lake Tuusulanjärvi.

nice views, narrow bike paths, take your time

nice views (plus eyesores), awfully narrow cycle path usually full of tourists or youngsters on e-scooters, will certainly still ride through here to complete the waterside loop around the inner city but please do remember to watch out

Ruoholahti Canal is a canal located in the western part of the Helsinki city center, completed in 1995,[1] which leads from Hietalahti to the Ruoholahti Bay and separates Jätkäsaari from the mainland. The canal runs in a west–east direction and separates the Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari sub-areas. At the beginning of the 20th century, a much wider natural strait was located on the site of the canal. The islands located to the south of it, Jätkäsaari, Hietasaari and Saukko, were largely used for villas. When the construction of the West Harbour began in the 1910s, the islands were connected and expanded by filling in part of the surrounding water area. At the same time, a wide embankment-type combined road and railway bridge was built across the eastern end of the strait, leaving only a narrow opening under it to connect the water areas on different sides of it. Later, in the 1960s, part of the water area west of the bridge was also filled in so that there was no longer a strait. The area was home to, among other things, lumber stores.
