2025: The suspension bridge is still closed

The Valkmusa National Park, established in 1996, is best known for its unique moorland landscape, as seen here. It is home to various bird species, including the crane, osprey, redshank, ptarmigan, and wood bunting. Additionally, migratory birds use the national park as a resting area.

The Virolathi Bunker Museum, opened in 1980, offers a fascinating insight into the history of the region's bunker complex. At the visitor center, you can explore exhibits and displays, while the bunkers outside provide an immersive, up-close experience. The museum opens at 10 AM and closes at either 4 PM or 6 PM, depending on the season.

A picture-perfect coastal haven: Here, you gaze upon a short, narrow headland adorned with two charming little houses.

The wooden tower rises just high enough to offer a sweeping view over the vibrant green bushes of the marshland. From here, you might catch a glimpse of water birds nesting in the sheltered embrace of the vegetation.

The hiking trail around Tervajärvi (where järvi means lake in Finnish) winds its way along the partly rocky shoreline, offering easy access to the water, perfect for a refreshing swim, provided the temperature is right.

The Moronvuori Day-Use Hut is located along the Moronvuori Hill Trail in Valkmusa National Park. The hut is available for daytime use as a resting spot. Inside, you will find a wood-burning stove and a supply of dry firewood. Additionally, there is a fire pit in front of the hut.
