투이아선 철도역으로, 20세기에 건설되었으며 여객 건물(EP), 지붕이 있는 선착장, 위생 시설이 아직 보존되어 있습니다. 여객 건물은 직사각형 평면으로, 세 개의 부분으로 구성되어 있으며 중앙 부분은 두 층, 측면 부분은 한 층으로 되어 있고 박공 지붕으로 덮여 있습니다. 석조 처마로 마감된 외벽은 직선 몰딩으로 된 아치형 개구부로 규칙적으로 뚫려 있으며, 측면 부분에는 쌍둥이처럼 배열되어 있으며 1층에는 문, 위층에는 창문이 있습니다. 중앙 부분의 측면 외벽을 제외하고는 창문이 열려 있습니다. 중앙 출입구는 더 넓고 경사진 몰딩이 있습니다. 박공으로 마감된 측면 외벽에는 돋을새김된 지명 표시가 있으며, 동쪽 측면의 두 번째 층에는 비슷한 몰딩의 좁은 개구부가 있습니다. 선로 쪽을 향한 외벽에는 금속 "캐노피"가 있어 승강 플랫폼을 덮고 있습니다. 철도 연결은 투이아역(도루선)과 브라간사역 사이에 134킬로미터 구간의 협궤(미터 궤간)로 이루어졌습니다.

The Podence Carnival Festival is held by the community of Podence, which belongs to the municipality of Macedo de Cavaleiros, in the district of Bragança. This is a social practice related to the end of winter and the beginning of spring. It takes place between Sunday and Shrove Tuesday in the most colourful village in Portugal, Podence. In the heart of the Northeast of Trás-os-Montes, the much-acclaimed Podence Carnival – Entrudo Chocalheiro – is celebrated during the carnival week, where the Podence Caretos (a pagan performance) bring colour to the village and to the many tourists who pass through with their costumes. This ritual event, which originated in the so-called “long time”, when life was organised according to the rhythms of the agricultural cycle, refers to the festivities celebrating the end of the winter cycle and the beginning of the spring production cycle. Unique in relation to other Carnival festivities held in other parts of the country and adapting to a post-rural socio-economic context, the Podence Caretos Carnival festival today takes on its own particularities, through its elements – the mask and the costume, the behaviours that characterise the ritual and the protagonists of the festival, the masked people, known as “caretos”, and its current social function, assuming a distinctive and unique format.
