I've done it and I recommend it. A mixed route, with mountainous terrain offering spectacular views and also an urban section, with typical houses where you can get water or food. 👍🥾

In São Marcos da Serra, the main church stands high above, watching over the village. In the square in front, a 17th-century Algarve chimney stands out, the true star of the village. The village gives its name to the São Marcos-Quarteira Fault, an impressive geological formation that stretches for over 40 kilometres, connecting this point to Paderne and descending to the coast, in the Quarteira area.

Nice varied walk. Unfortunately we had to turn back because the river was too high to use the ford. So in winter check first if you can walk along it.
