This lookout offers spectacular views of the surrounding valley and mountains, making it a great place to take in the scenery. Its name comes from the nearby Ermida de Santo Amaro, a small chapel that adds a touch of spirituality and history to the site. It is a perfect place for a quick stop to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of the region.

The Casa D. Maria on Rua Fialho de Almeida is a palatial building from the 20th century with many staircases and towers, but looks older than it is.

A beautiful hike, without difficulties, the hermitage unfortunately (closed), Almodovar, a pleasant and superb walk.

Fantastic location off N2. Welcoming host, comfortable bed, private bathroom with hot water, and amazing breakfast!

Very nice gravel route that is easy to ride. Wide enough and without too steep climbs. You can also ride here with 35 mm tires.

Susana and Rui are wonderful hosts. They are passionate about their home and surroundings, the environment, and social issues. We had many good conversations, both in our rusty Portuguese and their excellent English. The vegetarian dinner and breakfast are excellent. The bed was comfortable and the shower is amazing after a long dusty day. Rui also spent hours helping us plot out our next routes. We really recommend this place! Especially because our tandem fit in the hallway. Dan and Helen from the Yukon.
