The Lisbon Oceanarium features several tanks representing different regions of the world, including tropical fish, jellyfish, penguins, sea otters, and pufferfish, as well as a 5,000 m³ main aquarium with sharks, rays, tuna, and a sunfish, which can be viewed from the two floors of the Oceanarium. It is open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with last entry at 7:00 PM (however, you should allow 2-4 hours for your visit). Tickets can be purchased online to avoid queuing.

A beautiful path leads along the Tejo.

A great and imposing building which is completely in the water. The entrance is on the mainland and you have to walk over a bridge into the building. Here the underwater world is explained and presented in a fantastic way. Huge pools with countless inhabitants of the seas. An absolute must.

A hands-on museum in which children are vividly brought closer to the natural sciences. All stations are meant to be tried out, there is also a large area for playing and romping around. Anyone visiting the neighboring Oceonario should also make a detour here.

The Oceanário de Lisboa is located on the former Expo site. It is the largest indoor marine aquarium in Europe and houses about 12,000 animals. You can discover the different oceans from below (behind the glass wall) as well as from above. An ideal program point, if you have half a day between 2 flights or the weather should be worse. There are more interesting things to see, experience and discover around the Oceanarium.
