The Triumphal Arch is not a standalone structure, but one of the impressive and imaginatively named rock formations in the Czech rock city of Tiské stěny (Tyssa Walls) near Tisá in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. This rock formation, which can be hiked as part of the Great Tyssa Walls Circular Trail, is the result of millions of years of natural erosion of sandstone.

There was a forest fire here a few years ago. You can clearly see how nature is recovering. The trail runs over and along the mountain ridge.

The section along the river should only be passed if you want to climb over tree trunks and walk through the water (6 times!). Since this was the end of the route, we also had to illuminate the path with our phone lights 😄 Well, an adventure, but no longer a hiking trail. Definitely take this shortcut by taking the road. Of course, we didn't read the comments. But I want to point them out again anyway. The rest of the tour, apart from the odd detours (waypoints around 11-14), was absolutely top-notch. Thanks. It's best to avoid these detours as well, because of the danger of ticks (we spotted a total of 6 pests).

A worthwhile climb. Very steep and not suitable for small children. The upper section gets very narrow with a larger backpack.
