@Marieke: only it is not a dune, but a moraine. Fine if editors add tips, but it is annoying if they are often incorrect (ever walked there yourself?) and then also appear as default at the top.

Beautiful bird area: both wooded and heathland. Seen: pied flycatcher, redstart, tree pipit, woodlark, stonechat.

The tree trunks are no longer there.

Just outside Otterlo lies one of the sand drifts of the Veluwe, De Zanding. A beautiful piece of nature, that not many people know by name. Here you will find unique animals that can only live on the sand. Here you can search for animal tracks in the sand. And here you can enjoy beautiful sunrises.
