Around Ermelo, you'll find several beautiful mosaic benches. Dating back to 1987, they were designed by Esther Suzanne Koppe-Verburg and Anneke Granum-Kamerling. The various benches depict scenes from Ermelo: sheep from the sheepfold, game from the forest, and white peacocks. These are wonderful benches to encounter along the way.

This bench overlooking the heathland on the Veluwe offers a wonderful moment of peace. From this spot you can enjoy the vast heathlands that stretch out before you, surrounded by the peaceful nature of the Veluwe. The serene environment, the soft sound of the wind through the heath and the view of the rolling landscape make it a perfect stop to take a break and take in nature.

Hiding cave. No longer a cave, but the colored poles mark the spaces and the escape route. It is incomprehensible that the English pilots and local refugees lived here. As often happens, these people in hiding were betrayed and the Germans found the cave. The residents were able to escape via the escape route that had been created (marked with red poles).

Delicious cake, tea finally in a pot and not just in a glass (although still in a bag). The terrace is nice in summer, but it's also worth sitting inside in winter.
