Point of interest: A modern chapel dedicated to the Virgin of the Poor stands at the corner of Rouwmoer and Papenmoerstraat. Nature and Recreation: The area is part of the historic peatlands of Essen. You can explore the surroundings via the Peat Theme Walk (No. 1: Oude Moervaart). The Papenmoerbeek also flows through this region.
