You can also turn off and walk along the water to Roosendaal.

The Arsenal as we know it today was built in 1793 to replace the old, dilapidated Arsenal. The rectangular brick building with wooden cornice was used as an arms and ammunition warehouse until the end of the fortress of Willemstad in 1926. After this period, the Arsenal was only used to store military goods. Since 1960, the striking building has been privately owned and regularly hosts cultural and social activities, such as the annual Christmas market in December. This is the Sint-Gummaruskerk in Steenbergen. Although the current St. Gummarus Church was built in 1901, the history of the church dates back to the late 13th century, when the first church was founded in Steenbergen. This early church, of which no images are known, was replaced around the years 1505-1510 by a long Gothic cruciform church dedicated to James the Elder, the Church of St. James. The border between Zeeland and Brabant runs on the water. The bridge spans the Scheldt-Rhine canal and is a steel arch bridge with abutments on both sides.
