From November 9, 2025, the cave will be in winter mode, meaning it will only be open on Sundays. Guided tours will take place on Sundays at the following fixed times: 11:00 AM, 12:20 PM, 1:40 PM, and 3:00 PM. Between December 26 and January 6, the cave will be open daily at the same tour times.

The Bundeswehr's reconnaissance towers were set up and operated by the Bundeswehr's Army, Air Force, and Navy electronic warfare units along the German-German border and the border with Czechoslovakia to provide reconnaissance for the armed forces of the Eastern Bloc. The Luftwaffe towers transmitted their findings to the Luftwaffe's Signals Division 70 in Trier for comprehensive analysis and were called Signals Sector Towers.
